Submit the application and attachments and the $1185 application fee to the AAID Headquarters Office. All requested information must be provided in detail and in such form that the data can be verified. Type all information in English.

$100 of your fee is allocated to specialty recognition advocacy. The application is generally open mid-November through the June 1 deadline.

For over 30 years, the AAID has supported its members’ First Amendment right to truthfully advertise bona fide credentials like the AAID Associate Fellow and Fellow.

AAID Admissions & Credentialing Reinstatement Policy:

Former Associate Fellows and Fellows may apply for reinstatement to voting membership.  To be considered for reinstatement, the following must be submitted by the announced application deadline:

• The application for reinstatement for the status that is being sought, and

• The application $1,185 fee.

Following review of the application, the Admissions and Credentials board will determine if reexamination is needed.  If so, the following will apply:

If lapsed four to seven years, the applicant for reinstatement must take Part 1 (written) of the Associate Fellow Examination.

If lapsed eight years or more, the applicant for reinstatement must take Part 1 (written) of the Associate Fellow Examination and the oral/case examination for the membership class that the applicant formerly held.

The membership records of reinstated Associate Fellows and Fellows will show the period during which voting membership was interrupted unless dues and assessments are paid for the entire lapsed period.

We use Submittable to accept and review our submissions.
